# Auditing

SiO2 Finance is developed based on Aave V2, which is already heavily audited by a range of tier 1 auditing firms: <https://docs.aave.com/developers/v/2.0/security-and-audits>.&#x20;

Additionally, SiO2 Finance has PeckShield perform a thorough auditing on all three repos that are deployed to mainnet, covering changes for SiO2 Finance on top of Aave V2, which include different incentives distribution and ve staking mechanism.:
